An Overview of Texas’s 2025 Elections
The presidential election may be over but there are still hundreds of local races Texans will be voting on across the state in 2025.
Most Texas municipalities and many school board districts hold their local elections in odd-numbered years. In addition to these local races, Texans will also vote for constitutional amendments to the Texas Constitution. So, here are some of the key dates and details you need to know.
May 3rd Local Elections
Dozens of Texas municipalities will hold their elections on May 3, 2025. All municipal and board elections in Texas are non-partisan. City elections may include the mayor, city council members, and local propositions. Many Independent School Districts (ISDs) will also be voting for board of trustee members.
