An Overview of Wisconsin’s 2025 Elections

The presidential election might be over, but Wisconsin voters can still look forward to elections in 2025. There will be several judicial offices, many local offices, and a statewide office to vote on. We will cover key dates, what’s on your ballot, and local elections below!

Key Dates

  1. Primary election: February 18, 2025

  2. General election: April 1, 2025


What’s On The Ballot?

Statewide Races

  1. Superintendent of Education

  2. State Supreme Court Judge

Judicial Races

  1. Three court of appeals judges (these races will take place in 3 out of 4 districts across the state)

  2. At least 27 circuit court judges (these races depend on where you live)

Local Elections

Counties and municipalities will also be hosting elections in 2025. These will coincide with the primary and general election dates of the state. Not every local government will be having elections, but here are some expected ones:

  1. Dane County (county executive, county supervisors)

  2. Milwaukee (court of appeals judges, board of school directors, municipal judge)

  3. Green Bay (chairperson, supervisors, clerk, treasurer, constable)

  4. Racine (alderpersons)

  5. Eau Claire (alderpersons)

This list does not include all counties and may not be exhaustive. Please check with your local clerk’s office or board of elections for more information.
